A huge part of the story is your characters, and specifically how your characters interact with each other. We’re taking a quick look at how reputation and rumors can color your characters.
To start, make a list of all your characters, and leave enough space to write at least three full sentences.
Next, you’ll write three rumors about each character: one good, one bad and one false. Consider things like their occupation, heritage and even relationship status while creating your rumors.
Once you’ve written down your rumors, write your next scene as if your characters have heard these rumors about each other, but not about themselves. Explore how they interact with each other with these rumors in mind.
