Welcome to Short Story September! Your challenge this month is to write a short story every day for the next 30 days.

To help with that, I’ll post prompts for the challenge twice a week. We’ll start off with one-word prompts on Mondays (today being the exception) and longer story-starters and dialogue prompts on Fridays.

This week’s one word prompts:

• Rot
• Moss
• Entomb
• Wither
• Corrode

There’s no word count goal, but remember that the goal is to have 30 short stores by the end of the month.
