This week’s micro writing challenge is a Story Starter sprint. Below you’ll find five story starter prompts each one from the Wishing Well prompt packet releasing this month. Your goal: Write a 500+ word scene for each starter.

There’s no maximum word count for this challenge, but your goal is to complete all five scenes by Saturday night.

The Prompts:

• Like water, magic had a cycle to follow.
• The unleashed magic flooded into the valley below.
• Coins that had been passed around enough carried motes of magic.
• Magic dripped off her fingertips.
• The sharp smell of dark magic rose from the puddle.
